Kino Citius
So the other night on-set I met this dude named Guy Roland who is a set dresser working on feature films in Vancouver and he's behind this cool little short all constructed out of digital still photography and a formalist idea of framing objects in the camera. An interesting way to explore a place and certainly shows off Vancouver well. Guy had his personal copy of "District 9" on DVD with him and he was getting all those of us who had worked on the film to sign it... Man, that film has legs!!!

Inspiring Little Short for BBC World Service
BBC The Iraqi Oil Minister from Mato Atom on Vimeo.
I came across this video while I was reviewing artist portfolios and thought it was a really well conceived little piece. Amazing and fun to marry the imagery to the voice. Especially the use of a wide, open space with the wind blowing as a back-drop for the abstractions that are placed within it! Such a sad reality this fellow has lived and to see these abstractions as a representation of the happenings outside of his cell is a truly inspired thought.
